Hey! I’m Janelle and I’m so glad you are here.

Here’s my story of growth, success, infertility, my struggle with depression and how God healed me through both the ordinary and the extraordinary.

My prayer is that it will give you HOPE.

My Background

I grew up in a small french Alberta town with my loving parents and 2 younger brothers. I started singing at a young age with my mom at Mass and soon we were dubbed “The Judds” and sang at weddings, funerals and town fairs.

At 14 yrs old I was asked to be the lead singer in a Catholic Praise and Worship band which had monthly events with 600 youth in attendance. The following year, a new (cute) electric guitar player auditioned for the band and little did I know that only 4 short years after, we would wed.

My Background

In 1999, we pledged our lives before God and our family and friends. Our first Kiss was what sealed our wedding vows and we went on to share our chastity testimony with thousands.

We were so looking forward to having babies right away but after 2.5 years we still had no little one to hold. In prayer one day God told us to “make Music our baby for now”. So we decided to pursue a music career. Just a few months later I was asked to the theme song singer for World Youth Day 2002 when Pope John Paul II visited Canada and over 1 million people LIVE showed up. In preparation, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to PAris and Rome to promote WYD and invite pilgrims to Canada which gave me the unique gift to sing for JPII and over 6000 youth in St. Peter’s Square. Right before leaving on that trip we found out we were expecting!!! In August 2002, I sang at WYD 7 months pregnant, where my team and I did 26 shows in 2 weeks. In October we welcomed our first son Eric and we were thrilled!

We went on to record 3 albums while touring in a tour bus across the USA and Canada. Our team and I garnered several awards including “Female singer of the year”, “ Album of the Year “ and “Best New Artist of the Year”, as well as had several #1 hits on Christian Radio.

Though we were enjoying unprecedented success for a Catholic Performing Artist we longed to grow our family. But my struggle with PCOS became a constant source of quiet pain. Finally after 5 years, we went to see a naturopath who was able to diagnose me and find the root cause. His regimen resulted in us getting pregnant with our only daughter 3 months later.
